Now I like my job as a server at Applebees, but sometimes people can be a little ridiculous. What kind of people go to a restaurant just to complain and try to get a free meal? At Applebees it happens almost every night. Or if you pick a meal and you don't like the way it tastes, that does NOT mean you shouldn't have to pay for it.
Is it the economy that's making people so desperate for a free meal from Applebees? Or maybe that explains the armed robbery that happened at Applebees on Saturday night. Of course the Times News got the story pretty much wrong:
Twin Falls police say a masked individual held up a night manager of the Applebee’s restaurant on Blue Lakes Boulevard around 3 a.m. on Sunday morning. The night manager was carrying an undisclosed amount of money for a deposit, when the suspect approached the employee with a gun.For starters, Branden was not carrying money to deposit. None of the managers walk out of the door at night with large amounts of money to deposit. But I'm sure that this well reported story will keep robberies from happening in the future now that everyone has images in their head of my managers leaving with wads of cash in their hands. Well, poor reporting or not, all I can say is I'm glad I wasn't the manager that night.
